Ramses: Probably one of my most tortured characters atm. I jokingly call him Emo, but he really does have a reason to be in so much pain.
His mate and his son both abandoned him for a rapist and a destroyer, an enemy of the Mistweavers altogether.
The leader of the Mistweavers at the time, like Ramses, trusted his mate, and Ramses feels as though it's his own fault that they were betrayed.
Sekhmet, his daughter, however, blames the stand in leader from the time, the illegitimate son of one of the royal family, of whom Masika is a direct and legitimate descendant.
If the rains return: he hopes to be washed clean of the past, to have some hope to start again when he feels as though everything was stripped away from him, and none but his daughter and half brother made any effort to help him try and put the pieces back together.
Fortunately: Masika is happy to have him back, though apparently his former leader would have just as readily cast him out, which would have been an even harder blow coming from the lion that brought Ramses back to the Mistweavers, a homeland he'd only known in his mothers stories.
